Jobs and Work
in Asia:
Recruiting
Agents: I don't really like them, but they can help you get in. Some people
have landed a real nice job with them, others (yours truly included) landed
in some bad locations. You'll see "Jobs in Korea" advertised in most major
papers.
Job boards:
These are the regular ways to advertise. Perhaps the employer does their own
recruiting. This is a good sign, as it means that they have staff who can
speak your language. Having said that, what does it tell you about a company
that requires a recruiting agent?
|
Placements:
These are done during or after training courses, or through a job seeking
agency. Your local job seeking agency may have some listings. |

|
From a
friend of a friend:
It can be the sympathy situation, where your friend is doing a favour
to his or her employer that he or she is leaving.
But remember, everyone wants to maintain their reputation and not lose
face. So your new job could be all right, but you've got to be a good
person to them. |
