These are some small things you can do as lesson fillers and as a transition between larger activities.

Chinese Whispers (Whole class, 20mins)

• Two teams, with the first person in line closest to the whiteboard has a whiteboard marker.

• The person at the other end of the line (at the other end of the classroom, where you are) goes to you, and you quietly tell them (one from each team) the sentence (short, at first). They pass the sentence on to the next person in line. They should help each other, as a team to preserve and reconstruct the sentence. The person with the whiteboard marker must write the sentence on the whiteboard before the other team(s) does.
